Independent Living communities allow seniors who are generally able to care for themselves to live independently without having to maintain a house. They offer, under one contract, an independent living unit (apartment or condo), residential amenities, common grounds, a building for socializing and perhaps shared meals and planned social activities, housekeeping, and laundry service. This allows the senior to age in place in one community even if they need additional In-Home healthcare services with time.
